We are currently seeking a dedicated Janitor to join Stacs School, a leading primary/secondary education institution located in Monterey Park. As a Janitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, creating a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position is vital to the overall operations of the school and contributes to the well-being and productivity of everyone on campus. The projects you will be involved in include daily cleaning tasks, waste management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Empty and sanitize trash receptacles.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and activities.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to support overall school operations.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Reliability and punctuality in attendance.
• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
