Assembler I
The Assembler role is an entry-level role that supports the production process by preparing components, assembling parts, and building pallets and crates for product shipment. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Assemblers work collaboratively to paint, finish, insulate products, and construct wooden pallets and crates to support shipping and production needs.

No experience needed but you must be able to:

  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screen including THC
  • Able to work shift outside under a covered awning
  • Able to use hand tools
  • Able to lift 50lbs

LOCATION: Reno, NV 89506
POSITION: Contract to Hire
HOURS: 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 6:00am to 10:00am
PAYRATE: $19.00 hour

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or construction experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
  • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools, including wood cutting saws.
  • Able to learn how to operate basic machinery (ex. Waterjet).
  • Able to paint and work with insulation.
  • Ability to work independently with direct supervision.

JOB DUTIES (not limited to):

  • Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble components or products.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, cranes, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
  • Build wooden pallets and crates according to specifications.
  • Measure, cut, grind, and assemble materials with precision and efficiency.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with components or finished products.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Report material shortages, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
  • Assist in other production areas as necessary.
