Distribution Associate II- Standup Forklift

Hiring a Distribution Associate to assist with warehouse distribution. The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, forklift, shipping / receiving experience. The company is a global manufacturer and distributor of climate control products for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration markets. • Preference is to have someone with prior warehouse experience, comfortable with computers, extensive standup forklift experience.

LOCATION: DeSoto, TX 75115
POSITION: Right to Hire
PAY RATE: 18.00 hour
HOURS: 7:30am to 4:30pm

DUTIES:

• Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift.
• Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.
• Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.
• Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
• Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Completes written and computerized documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Forklift Certified
• Standup Forklift
• Steel Toe Boots
• Drug Test
• Background Check

ABILITIES:

• Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.
• Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
