Material Handler w/Forklift

The best fit is someone that has general warehouse, material handling, shipping / receiving experience with forklift Operation. Responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the supply chain, ensuring that products are available when needed as well as shipping and receiving support.

PAY RATE: $20.00hr
LOCATION: Oak Ridge, TN 37830 
POSITION: Contract

  DUTIES:
• Receiving and inspecting incoming materials: Ensuring the correct quantities and quality of materials received and inspecting for any damage.
• Storing materials: Organizing materials in designated locations and maintaining proper labeling.
• Moving materials: Transporting materials to and from production or storage areas, loading docks, delivery trucks, and manufacturing areas, often using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintaining inventory: Identifying, labeling, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Picking and packing materials: Selecting and preparing materials for orders or production needs.
• Loading and unloading: Safely loading and unloading inventory from various locations using material handling.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment: Following all safety procedures and guidelines, and ensuring the workspace is clean and organized. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Drug Test and Background Check - Required
• Ability to operate material handling equipment: Experience with forklift, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment.
• Basic computer skills: Used for managing inventory records and related software.
