About the Role
Talpa Supermarkets is seeking a Bilingual Assistant Grocery Store Manager to support daily store operations and help deliver an exceptional customer experience. This leadership role partners closely with the Store Manager to supervise staff, manage inventory, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required to effectively support our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager with all daily store operations
- Supervise, coach, and motivate store employees
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns
- Help meet sales goals and performance KPIs
- Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and shrink prevention
- Implement merchandising standards and promotions
- Enforce safety, security, and compliance procedures
- Assist with cash handling, POS, payroll support, and reporting
- Step in as Acting Store Manager when needed
Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) – required
- 2–4 years of retail or grocery management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Experience with inventory management, POS systems, and scheduling
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of retail safety and loss-prevention practices
- High school diploma or GED required (college coursework preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, including basic data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
