Category Manager – Grocery

Position Summary

The Category Manager – Grocery is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and end-to-end category management for assigned dry grocery and consumer packaged goods categories, including Latin-focused, national, and international brands. This role owns category strategy, supplier partnerships, pricing, promotions, and risk mitigation to ensure profitable growth, supply continuity, and alignment with Talpa Supermercados’ customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies, pricing, and promotions.
• Manage national and international suppliers.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contracts.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations.
• Analyze financial, cost, and supply performance.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field.
4+ years of experience in Category Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain.

Skills

Grocery category management, advanced negotiation, financial analysis, advanced Excel, ERP and BI tools.
Knowledge of the U.S. grocery retail market, including Latin and national brands, preferred.


Strongly preferred Bilingual English–Spanish.

Travel Requirement

Up to 30% travel to stores, distribution centers, and suppliers.
