IT Operations & Infrastructure Intern

Role Overview

Talpa Supermercados is seeking a motivated and technology-driven IT Operations & Infrastructure Intern to support day-to-day IT operations across our corporate office and retail store locations.

This internship provides hands-on experience in a real-world retail technology environment, exposing candidates to networking, Microsoft 365 administration, POS systems, infrastructure projects, cybersecurity initiatives, and technical support operations.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and wants practical experience supporting technology that directly impacts business operations.

 What You'll Learn:

During this internship, you will gain exposure to:

·       Multi-location retail IT operations

·       LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN networking

·       Microsoft 365 administration

·       Device management and endpoint support

 Responsibilities IT Support

·       Assist users with basic technical issues.

·       Support computer, printer, scanner, and mobile device setup.

·       Help document and track support requests.

·       Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities. Infrastructure & Networking

·       Assist with network equipment installation and inventory.

·       Support troubleshooting of switches, Access Points, and connectivity issues.

·       Learn network documentation and topology management.

·       Participate in store technology deployments. Microsoft 365 Support

·       Assist with user account setup.

·       Support Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint administration.

·       Help maintain user and device records.

Retail Technology Support

·       Assist with POS equipment setup and troubleshooting.

·       Support store technology rollouts.

·       Help verify device and system functionality during store visits. Projects & Documentation

·       Assist with IT projects and technology upgrades.

·       Create and maintain technical documentation.

·       Help track IT assets and inventory.

 Qualifications Required

·       Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Information Technology

Computer Science Information Systems Cybersecurity Networking

Related technical field

·       Basic understanding of:

Windows operating systems Computer hardware Networking fundamentals Microsoft Office applications

·       Strong communication and organizational skills.

·       Desire to learn and grow in an IT career.

 Preferred

·       Familiarity with:

Microsoft 365 Networking concepts Helpdesk environments Retail technology

POS systems

·       Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
