A well-established Perth-based grounds maintenance contractor is seeking a motivated Apprentice Grounds & Turf Technician to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career in turf management while working across high-quality recreational and landscaped environments.

About the Opportunity

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, is hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard. You will gain practical experience maintaining premium turf areas while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

You’ll be working alongside experienced supervisors and technicians, learning all aspects of turf care, machinery operation, and irrigation support.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintaining turf areas including mowing, edging, trimming and general presentation
• Assisting with irrigation system checks and minor repairs
• Supporting fertilising, turf repairs and seasonal maintenance programs
• Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment
• Contributing to daily site preparation and upkeep

Apprenticeship Details

• Full-time paid apprenticeship
• Work toward a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (via TAFE)
• Structured on-the-job training combined with formal study
• Annual pay increases as you progress
• Clear pathway into a qualified turf management role

About You

• Genuine interest in turf, horticulture, landscaping or irrigation
• Comfortable performing physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence preferred
