About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to provide expert tax consulting and compliance services while overseeing all aspects of tax planning, preparation, and review for client engagements. This role involves managing a diverse client base across multiple industries, supporting business development initiatives, and mentoring and guiding tax staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships across various tax engagements.
  • Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing processes.
  • Collaborate with other practice units to provide industry-specific insights and solutions.
  • Monitor engagement profitability and prepare monthly billing analysis.
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff, providing guidance on accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
  • Research and analyze complex tax issues and implications.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and career development support to the tax team.
  • Represent the firm at professional events, fundraisers, and community initiatives.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives promoting firm growth, culture, technical development, and technology adoption.
  • Stay informed on current and proposed tax legislation, communicating impacts and planning strategies to clients.

 

Qualifications:

  • CPA, J.D., LL.M, or Master’s in Taxation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience in tax.
  • Proven ability to develop business and foster client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and tax research abilities.
