Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer
Location: Remote
Working Hours: 3 PM IST to 12 AM IST
Experience: 7+ years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: CTO Office / Special Projects Engineering

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our CTO Office and lead high-impact special projects across the organization. This role is designed for an experienced engineer who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building systems from the ground up, and takes full ownership of delivering outcomes—not just writing code.

You will work closely with senior leadership to turn strategic initiatives into scalable, production-ready solutions. While some projects may operate in regulated or data-sensitive environments, prior domain experience is a plus, not a requirement. What matters most is strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, and a genuine eagerness to learn new domains.

This is a high-autonomy, high-visibility role with significant influence over architecture, tooling, and execution standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own special projects end-to-end, from discovery and design through implementation, deployment, and post-launch iteration.
 • Partner directly with C-level executives and cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic goals into executable technical plans.
 • Design and build production-grade full stack applications using modern front-end and backend technologies (React/Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript).
 • Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable systems with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and long-term operability.
 • Build and maintain backend services and APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) with strong standards for versioning, documentation, testing, and performance.
 • Design and operate cloud-based infrastructure to support application workloads, scalability, and reliability.
 • Implement security best practices across the stack, including authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, audit logging, and least-privilege access.
 • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments.
 • Apply DevOps principles to ensure operational readiness, monitoring, alerting, and smooth production operations.
 • Make pragmatic architecture and technology decisions, clearly documenting tradeoffs and ensuring maintainability.
 • Set and uphold best practices for code quality, automated testing, infrastructure, and operational excellence.
 • Communicate proactively with stakeholders by providing clear updates on progress, risks, and technical decisions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
 • 7+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade full stack applications.
 • Strong front-end expertise with modern frameworks such as React and Next.js, including performance and accessibility considerations.
 • Strong backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript (Express, NestJS, or similar frameworks).
 • Solid system design skills with experience building scalable, resilient architectures.
 • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including deploying and operating production systems.
 • Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
 • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, serverless).
 • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
 • Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security fundamentals, including secure API design, encryption, access control, and auditability.
 • Experience working with SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL) and data modeling; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus.
 • Proven ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver projects end-to-end.
 • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align technical execution with business outcomes.

NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)

 • Experience working in regulated, compliance-driven, or data-sensitive environments.
 • Prior experience in healthcare, finance, insurance, or other complex enterprise domains.
 • Exposure to event-driven architectures, message queues, or streaming platforms.
 • Experience with observability tools and practices (logging, metrics, tracing, incident response).

WHAT WE VALUE MOST

 • Strong ownership mindset and accountability for outcomes.
 • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new domains and technologies.
 • Comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces with a builder mentality.
 • Strong product thinking and focus on real-world impact and adoption.
 • High standards for quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.
 • Clear, proactive communication and effective stakeholder management.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

 • Direct collaboration with the CTO and senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
 • High autonomy and trust, with real influence over technical direction and execution.
 • Opportunity to work on complex, meaningful problems across technology and business.
 • A chance to define engineering standards for special projects through craftsmanship and speed.
