Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Production Supervisor to support and oversee daily manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for assisting with production planning, supervising staff, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in production or manufacturing, demonstrates leadership capability, and is comfortable working hands-on with production teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing daily production operations from planning through execution to meet production goals, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Support production projects to ensure completion within scope, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor workflow, inventory levels, and material usage to reduce waste and avoid production delays.
  • Supervise, guide, and motivate production employees to maintain productivity and morale.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, performance monitoring, and development of production staff.
  • Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and workflow inefficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure production output aligns with demand while supporting cost-control and efficiency initiatives.
  • Enforce safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures through regular inspections and audits.
  • Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations (required).
  • Previous experience as a lead, senior operator, or supervisory support role (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and production processes.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with production or inventory systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
