Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and perform diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a solid understanding of diesel systems, and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmission systems, hydraulic systems, and related components.
- Conduct routine service, oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks on fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and emission system failures using diagnostic tools and software.
- Perform DOT inspections (if certified) and ensure all vehicles meet regulatory standards.
Equipment & Tools
- Utilize shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or equivalent vocational training.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Own basic set of mechanic tools.
