Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Flux-Cored / Solid Core Welder & Fitter to join our busy and growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. We are looking for a dependable Welder/Fitter who takes pride in their work, works well with others, and is seeking a steady, full-time position where quality workmanship and teamwork are valued. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys welding, fabrication, and being part of a solid team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and FCAW welding on various materials, including steel, sheet metal, and pipe
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to meet project requirements
- Fit, fabricate, and assemble components to specification
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brakes and plasma cutters
- Measure and verify dimensions using tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Work collaboratively as a team player to meet production and quality goals
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fitter and MIG Welder (required)
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication and welding processes
- Ability to accurately read a ruler and perform basic math calculations
- Experience in construction site environments preferred but not required
- Experience with ductwork assembly and pipe threading is a plus
- Familiarity with machining, soldering, and operating power tools is beneficial
- Welding certification preferred
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
