Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse distribution and materials handling, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload shipments with precision while adhering to safety protocols
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage stock levels accurately
• Participate in order picking processes, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with OSHA standards
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency
• Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting safety and efficiency

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including heavy equipment operation such as forklifts and cranes
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the role
• Experience with order picking processes, including <PERSON> picker operations
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures is preferred
• Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
