We are looking for native speakers of German to participate in a short recording project that simulates real-life conversations in noisy environments. The recordings will help improve AI speech technology in diverse acoustic conditions.

Project Overview:

Participants will work in pairs to record a 5-minute conversation using our online recording platform (“Workbench”). The conversation should sound natural and take place in a setting with consistent background noise (e.g., café, office, or home with TV/music playing).

You will receive clear setup instructions and short training before recording.

Tasks:

• Join the project’s recording platform via phone.
• Record one conversation (5–10 minutes) following the provided scenario.
• Maintain clear, natural speech without reading from a script.
• Ensure background noise is present but does not overpower speech.
• Avoid overlapping speech and personal data.

Requirements:

• Native German speaker (currently living in Europe preferred).
• Quiet but naturally noisy environment (e.g., café, park, office).
• Mobile phone or computer with microphone and stable internet connection.
• Ability to follow simple recording instructions in English.
• Must complete both roles (Host and Attendee) within the pair.
