AI Team Leadership & Multimodal Quality — Onsite (San Jose, CA)
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Lead Generative AI Analyst to manage the day-to-day execution of Chinese multimedia and language data labeling. In this role, you will lead the review of video, images, and metadata, serving as the primary bridge between annotators, quality stakeholders, and internal project teams.
What You’ll Do
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of multimodal annotators and reviewers to meet delivery schedules and quality targets.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor team metrics such as throughput, error rates, and backlogs while driving corrective actions.
- Quality Ownership: Reduce reviewer-to-reviewer variance through structured reviews, audits, and calibration efforts.
- Guideline Management: Create and improve technical specifications, document edge cases, and update instructions as workflows evolve.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for workflow questions and coordinate with internal and third-party partners.
- Training & Coaching: Support the onboarding of new annotators through assessments and ongoing performance coaching.

Requirements
- Language Expertise: Native-level proficiency in Chinese
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in data annotation, computer vision labeling, or content QA.
- Leadership Experience: 2+ years of experience leading teams or acting as a lead reviewer.
- Communication: Strong English skills, specifically the ability to write clear guidelines and provide actionable feedback.
- Technical Rigor: Proven track record of consistent decision-making regarding complex edge cases.
- Endurance: Comfortable reviewing multimedia content for extended periods while maintaining high attention to detail.
Ways to Stand Out
- AI Knowledge: Familiarity with LLMs, RLHF, or multimodal AI workflows.
- Specialized QA: Experience evaluating AI training datasets or working within content moderation environments.
- Strategic Data Work: Experience with taxonomy creation or developing evaluation rubrics.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Python or scripting.
- Multilingualism: Proficiency in additional languages like Korean, Japanese, or French.
