Position Overview:
The Golf Course Bar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clubhouse bar, ensuring exceptional service, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and managing staff. This role involves coordinating with the food and beverage team to deliver a memorable experience for golf guests and club members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bartenders and bar staff to ensure efficient service.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, supplies, and equipment; place orders as needed.
- Ensure all alcohol and beverage service complies with legal regulations and club policies.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the bar area.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Train and mentor bar staff on service techniques, beverage preparation, and club policies.
- Develop and suggest new drink menus, specials, and promotions to enhance guest experience.
- Handle cash register operations and maintain accurate sales records.
- Collaborate with the clubhouse management team to coordinate events and special functions.
- Enforce responsible alcohol service and ensure a safe environment for all guests.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender, bar supervisor, or similar role, preferably in a golf club or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of mixology, beverage preparation, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (if required by local regulations).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
