You’ll serve as the connective tissue across hiring flows, contributor experiences, cultural rituals, and people systems.

Overview

We’re hiring an HR Coordinator to act as the operational heartbeat of Anime Universe's evolving HR structure. This role is central to helping our leadership team drive alignment, momentum, and follow-through across all things people — from recruitment and onboarding to performance tracking and contributor lifecycle management.

You’ll help write the playbook for candidate journeys, internal communications, and strategic hiring execution — while supporting document management, scheduling, onboarding logistics, and digital HR infrastructure.

As the first point of contact for many future equity partners, you’ll set the tone, reinforce our values, and make sure every touchpoint feels intentional and excellent.

What You’ll Own

People Operations

  • Schedule interviews, onboarding sessions, check-ins, and performance syncs
  • Coordinate job postings, candidate pipelines, and recruitment documentation
  • Manage candidate tracking across platforms (e.g., Notion, Airtable, ATS)
  • Handle internal coordination for onboarding/offboarding contributors
  • Support digital file and recordkeeping infrastructure (e.g., contracts, NDAs, equity agreements)
  • Ensure smooth candidate experience and team responsiveness

Contributor Experience

  • Own day-to-day communications with prospective and incoming talent
  • Draft and send offer letters, equity opportunity memos, onboarding packs
  • Maintain a high level of clarity, empathy, and follow-through in all interactions
  • Act as the liaison between contributors and HR leaders, escalating concerns when needed
  • Support initiatives related to culture-building, async rituals, and team ceremonies

Internal Coordination

  • Partner with CPCO and HR leadership to monitor hiring timelines and progress
  • Maintain internal hiring dashboards and operational logs
  • Support meeting scheduling and leadership logistics
  • Coordinate with Legal and Finance for agreements, equity issuance, and record tracking

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years experience in HR coordination, recruiting operations, or people team support (startups or async orgs a bonus)
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a calm, proactive, can-do energy
  • Clear communicator who thrives in async workflows and remote-first environments
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and trusted to follow through on critical tasks
  • Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Tech-savvy: experience with Notion, Slack, Google Workspace, or project management tools preferred
  • Bonus for experience with equity or token-based compensation workflows
